MacBook Air logic board error, no boot & no charge?

Hello,

I have a first gen Macbook Air, it is not able to boot, and not able to charge.

The problem is not the charger, i have tried it charging with my MBP ac adapter and it didnt work also, not even the green light shined.

After removing the lower case, i saw that one component of the logic board is burned out.

I have added two pictures to show that part.

(not original ones, i have no cam)

This is written on the component 0806AJ

Logic board, Red marked component that is destroyed

Closer view of the destroeyd component

I am a student and cant effort a new logic board.

Can this problem be solved with just replacing the component that is destroyed?

And what is that component?

Thanks and greetings from austria

Niki

Soldering logic boards is not really a DIY task - it takes lots of experience (practice) special tools and solder. You might be able to get someone locally, on e-bay or even Apple to repair the logic board. If you can get Apple to give you a "depot repair" it would be the best bargain you'll find. You'll have to investigate/compare prices only you know your budget.
