Will not start from power button

Washer would not start after selections, then the machine will not power up from the power button, it make 3 quick beeps when you push the power button, have unplugged the cord for 5 minutes. Machine did power up one time while holding in the power button, seemed to go through a system check then had a code of C00.

Thank you for the info, I downloaded the manual and was about to do some tests and found the code F 70 flashing on the display, unit will not respond to any buttons, power button no longer makes any beeps, can't find anything in the repair manual about the code F 70. What now? Thanks...

Roger Aleshire ,most times the F70 code is caused buy a faulty motor control unit. The easiest test for this is to pull the MI3 connector off the main control board. You access that by removing the top panel. With the connector off, if it programs and does not do the 3 beeps when you press start, you need the motor control board. See what you get and let us know.

Thank you, Ok I pulled the M13 connector, no beep on the power switch, re-connected the M13 connector and the machine powered up form the power button! Tried to start the machine but will not start, all lights are lit as should be except the load selector is flashing. After letting it sit for 5 minutes it is now flashing F 71 and no power or beep form the power button. Thanks

The F71 error code indicates a user interface heartbeat failure. I attached an image from another manual to my original answer.

What is the connector number identification for the user interface and where is it? The manual that I downloaded from you earlier looks a bit different than the controller locations in my machine. I suspect that the CCU is the unit that I can see a circuit board inside at the edges of it. Thanks.

Roger Aleshire, the C:00 displays when the washer is put into a diagnostic test mode. Try putting the washer into a diagnostic test mode. check the attached image for instructions. It should go through different various steps while the display changes from C:00 to C:01, C:02, C:03 etc. If it goes through all the steps and shuts off, it could be that the machine control would need to be replaced. The official trouble shooting sections recommends the following steps for no power on:"

1. Check the line voltage and for blown fuses.

2. Check for voltage going to Central Control Unit (CCU) by listening for a click in the CCU when unit is plugged in. If no click replace CCU.

3. Unplug the unit before continuing.

4. Check continuity of line cord and line filter.

5. Check harness connections to CCU.

6. Check touch-pad/LED assembly.

Download the Service Manual from here and check the component testing section. Hope this helps, good luck.
