-I have this issue as well. I bought a broken unit that pleasantly came with an extra kettle, which presumably works.[br]

I want to use the part from the bought but tattered unit to replace the part in the original base, but am trying to figure out how to pry the base open. I'm waiting to hear from someone who did successfully to figure out how to do it. [br]

It's stuck on F because there's a board with a button that goes to C when the button is covered. You have a bad board/button and need a new one. I'll let you know how this goes as I make progress. I also took pics of the part board to show you what's going on and how it looks from the inside.

The switch is a [link|https://switchandclick.com/kailh-switches-a-comprehensive-guide/|Kailh|new_window=true] switch, which is a cheap Chinese part that's made to break. This is just poor part quality. [br]
