Hi @dan8976
Here's the [link|https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles_pub/330-14ikb_81da_g2_330-15ikb_81dc_de_330touch-15ikb_81dh_81dj_hmm_201803.pdf|hardware maintenance manual] for your laptop.
Go to p.46 to view the necessary pre-requisite steps and then the procedure to remove the HDD.
Installing an SSD is just reversing the procedure used for removing the HDD. The only difference is that most SSDs are only 7mm in depth and HDDs are much thicker so a spacer will have to be inserted under the SSD in the drive bay to ensure that the SSD is at the correct height for the connector.
Here's a link to just one [link|https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/lenovo/ideapad-330-15ikb#ssd|supplier] that may help. It shows the type of SSD i.e. sata, the maximum capacity and also that it comes with a spacer. Knowing this will allow you to find other suppliers that may suit you better.
-Also most reputable suppliers provide a link to download free cloning software along with the SSD so that you can clone the HDD to the SSD and have a seamless transition to the new drive.
