Then you would need to practice to get it done without ruining the display, so you need some old screens. Buying all the tools will cost you more than a screen. It is almost impossible for a DIY'er without the right tools other specialised equipment to get this done without lots of practice. Save the money for the tools and the trouble to see if you can get it done without breaking the LCD. If you get a complete assembly your chances of getting it done right on the first try, are much better.
