I  JUST replaced my right speaker today (A1707 15" MBP w/ Touchbar). As I was documenting the process with photos, I noticed the right speaker had a different sized pin connector to the logicboard than the left speaker.

There are 6 pins on the right speaker and only 4 pins on the left one (see the yellow zoom circles on the attached image).

Perhaps this is why the sound output is different. I'm guessing Apple  designed them to be "balanced" somehow when paired together without  pulling too much power? (That's just my guess...)
