Title:

USB 3.2 Type C operating at 2.0 speeds

Text:

-My iMac's (2020,27") Usb 3.2 Type C ports are only operating at USB 2.0 speeds. Anyone know why this is? I'm on the latest Catalina update, I've run diagnostics - there's no hardware issue, my Type A ports all work absolutely fine - but as soon as I plug an SSD into the Type C port the transfer speed shows up as "up to 480Mb/s". I should be getting 10Gb/s.
+My 27” iMac (2020) USB 3.2 Type C ports are only operating at USB 2.0 speeds.
-Please tell me someone knows how to fix this? can't find any USB C drivers to install, or any other fix. SMC resets don't do anything either. I've got bootcamp - but I doubt that's the issue. My only other option at this point is to update to Big Sur, hoping it'll fix the ports. But I really, really don't want to do that.
