Hi @lifegoddess ,
 
You need to connect your music source, (if not using the system’s inbuilt CD player) to the appropriate '''aux input connection(s)''' (analogue or digital) on the back of the unit.

Then you need to press the ''aux button'' on the remote control to select the aux input as the source of the audio.
