Asus made some keyboards with the cable folded too tightly underneath, and over time they break internally.  If this is the case, you need to order a new keyboard for the laptop.  Especially if it does it on different operating systems.

It could be a bios setting, but more than likely the cable is damaged inside that attaches it to the motherboard.
