pdhaggerty besides the excellent answer provided by @j0vian you could follow this guide [guide|6197] up to step 7. There you see the wiring for the USB cable. Now you can check a replacement cable and see if the colors of the wires matches, than just solder the cable on. Or you can can check the wiring with a multimeter to match the connections.
