Given that it is only 6 months old I suggest that you  consult the ''manufacturer's warranty ''statement in the documentation that came with the microwave (usually found in the User Guide) as to what you have to do to make a claim for a manufacturer's warranty repair or replacement.

The reason for this is if you have to open the microwave to fix the problem then you will have ''voided'' the warranty.

If you still wish to do it yourself (and void the warranty) then what is the full model number of the microwave?
