Hi, So, from what I am reading, you opened the phone, to find it was basically dry, but you didn't clean the logic board? Ultrasonic cleaning? Isopropyl alcohol and a toothbrush? Anything? If you didn't clean the logic board, then there would be severe corrosion under the shields more than likely. Replacing just parts on a liquid damaged device, will not solve anything at all. Either way, you should never do it for the sake of the device when it comes to liquid damage, you should clean it up mainly for data recovery, if the phone works after, it's a bonus.
