Title:

Is it possible to swap logic boards between 2011 and 2012 MBP?

Text:

Hi everyone

I tried searching similar topics but could not be sure of the answers and I hope I'll cope it with your help :)

I have an Early 2011 15" MBP and last year my GPU died because of the well known issue. It has been laying around since then.

Now I ordered a mid 2012 2.3 ghz logic board (MD103LL/A) which is on the way.

My current MBP has all the parts on it (cooling tubes, fans, rams, ssd and hdd and etc.) and I am not sure what will be missing when I get my package.

What are the things that will cause any incompabilities? For what should I be cautious when swapping?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks and best regards!
