@kerileighh21 even 3V or more is not a good indication that the battery will maintain a charge. Remember that you are havinghave had issues with maintaining of the charge so thisand not the voltage. This looks like a failed battery. thereThere are ways to test batteries but that is above the level of this question. The only thing you want to do at this timetime, is to replace the battery,battery then re-evaluate. Do not guess or hypothesize unless you have a known-good starting point, like a new battery.
