Tried the 3D print solution; but in the interim, was also successful in simply crafting a plug sized cap out of FIMO (polymer clay), and hardening it. I was skeptical about the "tin foil" solution, but actually, it worked perfectly. If I needed to do it agin, I would use SUGRU, as it remains a little pliable after hardening.
