Is it possible to install a bigger HD into an 30gb iPod?

I'd like to know if it's possible to upgrade my iPod's HD once that i'll have to substitute it anyway.

So, I want to know if I can install a 80gb (for example) HD into my old 30gb iPod video (5th generation). In that case, is it possible to upgrade the battery to, or the batery for the 80gb iPod is to big?
