-Hi all. Ive just had the same problem with my 2009 macbook pro 15". Ive had it from new and it's awesome but this problem is unacceptable. the reason we all buy Apple and spend £2K on laptops is because they last!

The problem seems to be where the heat is vented from processor fan. It gradually deteriorates the adhesive over time.
Apple... You know about this problem - don't be awkward!
Has anybody had a permanent fix? if so what adhesive did you use.
