it's not exactly clear which model iBook you have but regardless the [http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Browse/iBook#Section_iBook_G4|repair guide] for your particular model will list the tools you will need. typically aside from regular screwdrivers you may need a Torx screwdriver.

to replace the DC board you do not need to solder anything - there are connectors joining it to the main logic board
