Not good :-{

The OS still had open files. The next time it's best to shutdown the computer so it forces the saving of the files.

As to fixing this you'll need to get a file recover app to hopefully knit back together the directory services which are corrupted on the disk. Something like this tool should fix this [http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk|TestDisk]
