Title:

Ipad 3g early version different?

Text:

I have an Ipad 3G A1337 which was purchased on the release day for this device. I was successful in lifting up the digitizer. However, I've noticed this Ipad looks different inside compared to the pictures and videos I've watched. The digitizer cable I can see but not where it ends. There is a black piece going down the entire length of the left side from top to bottom which is covering up the digitizer retention flaps. No screws were holding down the black piece to be able to take it out. husThus, I have no way to release the digitizer cable at the momentmoment with this in the way. I'm doing research online to see if there are early version 3G Ipads like this that were worked on. Has anybody run across this Ipad? Can it be worked on at all? I have to install a new dock connector.
