iPad 3 Wi-Fi: Find a part - what is this piece I’m missing from my iPad?

Hi there,

I’ve opened up an iPad 3 to fix it and unfortunately I’ve been stupid and removed a potentially important part. It was stuck down inside the rear housing. It connected with the LCD ribbon I believe, and I rubbed it off thinking it was a piece of sticky glue left in there. The LCD now doesn’t work (I’ve attached it correctly to the motherboard). The piece I removed must have been an inch and a half long, black and connected to the interior of the housing, on the left hand side looking down on it, about halfway down the side. If anyone knows what this is, it’d be much appreciated if you could let me know so I could replace it! Thank you.

iPad Air Wi-Fi: Multiple problems after screen replacement

(1) When screen is on, there's backlight bleed: I can see the light from 5 LEDs along the edge of the screen. (At first, I thought he'd misaligned the replacement screen.)

(2) The screen turns off and won't come back on until I force restart (Home+Power)

(3) Digitizer is unresponsive around the edges. (I have to flip the screen-sometimes several times-to close a tab, type an "A", use spacebar, caps lock, or Enter.)

1 & 3 were immediately apparent after the screen replacement. 2 started a few days later. I ordered the screen + digitizer pre-assembled (without Home button) from a reliable vendor we've bought from before.

This is so frustrating, I can barely stand using it. Everything takes 3x longer. My husband was emboldened to try this by multiple successful cellphone screen replacements.

Questions:

Could (1 and 2) mean he could've accidentally burned the backlight filters? If so, are they replaceable, or is there a workaround? Will I be handing over our firstborn to Apple in exchange for repairs? Or, is my iPad bricked?

What could be causing 3?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

The plug that the Ribbon Cable clips into on the Logic Board is missing some of the Gold Pins and as a result the Digitizer isn't working. I am not sure what this item is actually called. I was just wanting to know if anyone could help with the of that part and or if it is available to purchase. I will also need to Purchase a new LCD Screen at the same time as when I turned it on it's coming up with 2 apple logo's and lines across the screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
iPad Air Wi-Fi: Screen goes extremely dim

My screen is almost always extremely dark (no icons visible just very dim light) sometimes it helps to hit it on the back a few times for a few minutes but then it goes flickering/ green to black again. I also tried reset and completely reinstalling it without luck. I guess the LCD cable is loose? How much would a repair cost?

Edit: sounds like a backlight problem according to a local repair shop, he said repair costs 120€... is it possible to fix it by myself, without technical super skills?

iPad 2 Wi-Fi EMC 2415: Wifi sometimes available, sometimes grayed out

Okay, I have an odd scenario here. My Ipad2 was able to connect to my regular 2.4G Wifi but not my 5G Network. Then, my son dropped it! So, I ordered a new Wifi antenna along with the digitizer, figured I'd kill 2 birds with one stone. When I first replaced it, and booted up, all was good. One day, after rebooting, the Wifi was disabled. I couldn't even turn it on. Rebooting didn't work, Airplane mode on/off didn't work, Resetting the network settings to factory, didn't work, and even restoring my IPAD from scratch didn't work. So, I shut it down. 2 days later, I booted it up, and Wifi was available, and going strong again! Next time I rebooted, it was disabled again! So, since then, I've replaced the Antenna 4 times now (all ordered from different sellers at different times, so I could discount a bad batch concept). Each time, I have the same behavior, if the Ipad is off a day or two, it will boot up with Wifi enabled. Once I reboot though, Wifi is disabled. I think I've pretty much ruled out a hardware issue (except the Wifi daughter board chip), so is there something I am doing wrong here? Something I'm missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
