iPad 10 Wi-Fi: iPad Power Button/Touch ID Repair

Hi there. Can someone help me with the iPad's power button? I'm 15 and trying to fix my iPad's power button. I see that some kind of black piece holds it in, but I do not know how to put it in place. Also, I need help installing a new LCD. How much are those? Please don't ignore this question. I've been using my iPad for a while now, and I have a lot of important stuff on there.

Kindle Paperwhite 3rd Generation: My Kindle Won't Leave the USB Screen

Before I begin, I think this is the edition of kindle paperwhite I have, but it may not be. I received this as a gift, years and years ago.

As you can see it's open the page it has when connected to a computer. This is because last night I uploaded a pdf. The connection wasn't very strong actually, so I know it didn't immediately get locked into this screen. Only when I finally got the cord to sit snug, and finished the upload, would it stay in this screen.

I've tried turning it off and on, and it does go to the correct off-screen, but it does not allow me to restart. When I hold down on the power button the light at the bottom blinks and then turns off after a few seconds. It does not open the power off/restart menu, and that's the primary problem. I suspect this issue would be cleared if it restarted, but the nature of the issue stops me from doing so.

If necessary, I could wait for it to run out of battery. That's the equivalent of a restart. I did just charge it to full though, and the battery on this thing is impressive, plus draining the battery has got to eat into the battery life somewhat. What would you do? Any suggestions?

My Kindle Paperwhite won’t turn on properly. When I try to power it up, it only shows the battery icon and nothing else. The screen turns white when it’s “on,” but when I turn it off, the screen goes dark. It never goes past the battery symbol, it doesn’t load the Amazon logo, and it doesn’t actually start up. It’s basically stuck on that battery screen and won’t boot.

Kobo: Does anyone know the part number/specs for D1 on a Kobo Clara BW

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to repair my Kobo Clara BW motherboard, and the component labeled D1 near the USB-C port appears to be damaged/burned.

I would like to replace it, but I haven’t been able to find a schematic or BOM for this motherboard, and the component is too small/damaged for me to read any markings on it.

Does anyone know:

The exact part number for D1

What type of diode it is (TVS, Schottky, ESD protection, etc.)

Its voltage/current specifications

The package size

Whether it has a specific polarity/orientation

I’ve attached a close-up of the damaged D1 and a photo of the motherboard for reference.

If anyone has a schematic, boardview, BOM, donor board, or has repaired this board before, I’d really appreciate any information that could help me identify a suitable replacement.

Thanks!

iPad Mini: iPad Mini Home Button Not Working After Digitizer Replacement

Replaced an iPad Mini digitizer today and all seemed to be ok prior to putting the actual digitizer on.

But after putting the digitizer back on, the home button does not work, or to be more accurate, it always thinks it's pressed.

We tested the home button prior to putting the digitizer back on and it was working. For some reason the iPad thinks the home button is always depressed (if you press the power button, it takes a snapshot).

Any ideas?

iPad 8: How do I replace my ipads charging port?

As said in the title I have an Ipad gen 8 and its been very picky about how its plugged in to charge. A few days ago it stopped charging all together. I took it to the genius bar and was told the port was the problem and I needed a new ipad (not an option at the moment) so does anyone have any resources of changing/repairing the charging port of my Ipad?
