Magic Mouse: Magic Mouse suddenly stopped moving smoothly

Hi all,

I was using my Magic Mouse from years and, from one day to another, it stopped moving smoothly. The mouse pointer is jiggling in such a way that it's unusable. (Clicking and swiping work well). The batteries are not low and even replacing them with fresh ones didn't change this strange behavior. The optical lens seems to be clean and nothing particular happened to my mouse to give it a reason for this. The most weird thing is that it worked flawlessly since yesterday. Does anyone have any idea on what might have happened to my Magic Mouse? Thanks to everyone who can give me some tips.

Magic Mouse: How do I fix my optical movement on my apple magic mouse?

I have a magic mouse that came along with my Mid 2010 iMac 27". The mouse still responds to finger movement while scrolling and clicking. Although, the movement of the cursor completely stopped working. I've already opened the mouse to if there was anything lose in it, I couldn't find it. I've cleaned the optical area, and the whole mouse. Still, no luck. Anyone has a fix for this? Thank you!

Magic Mouse: Magic Mouse battery contact is loose

Hi guys,

I have a sweet Magic Mouse (1st gen) but since a week i have a dropping connection. Upon inspection of the mouse i discovered that one of the contacts IN the Magic Mouse is actually loose: i can press it inwards and it even feels like there's a spring behind it to keep in in it's place. But the other one (on the left) is sturdy and i cant push that backwards (to the inside).

I think it's just broken somehow, but is there any way to fix it? I googled for an hour, but no results (also pretty hard to accurately search on this issue).

This is how they look like normally: https://i.imgur.com/YyrD5fh.jpg

This is how the battery contact looks like when i press it, really gently even! As you can see, the bottom presses inwards, compared to the contact on the left that doesnt move when i press it.

https://i.imgur.com/HQVZgvj.jpg

Does anyone have any idea if this is fixable and how?

Magic Mouse: Replace with better laser bulb

This is a shot in the dark. I understand that Logitech has developed this new (2009 - jseus fck!) tracking tech that it calls “Darkfield”, so it can track on pretty much any surface, i.e. glossy or clear glass surfaces.

Magic Mouse: Magic mouse looses connection when not moved

Since a few days the mouse is acting weird. When it is not moving the connection will disappear, when the mouse is being moved again it will connect again. Everytime you want to use the mouse it takes a few seconds before it is connected again. Even when you pause 2 secondes to decide where to click on it will loose its connection! This behavior is the same on different MacBooks and Imacs.

My mouse is (partially) not working where it couldn't move the cursor but connects via Bluetooth to my mac.

The green light on my Magic Mouse is turning on when you flick the ON/OFF toggle switch. I tried changing the batteries also but to no avail. The odd thing is all the other functions work fine like scrolling, left+right gestures, clicking and right-clicking!
