Nintendo 2DS: 2ds not turning on after leaving on sleep mode overnight

Hi everyone,

My 2ds stopped working after leaving on sleep overnight. When I woke up and removed the sleep mode it stayed on but not image or sounds was given. I also could not turn off the 2ds by any means.

I left it on until the battery runned out and fully charged it the next day.

Now it just doesn't turn back on no matter what I do.

Xbox Series X: On/Off Beep. Shorts around APU test points

I have an xbox series x that does not power on. It started as an HDMI repair with ripped traces and snowballed into something worse. I cannot get it to come on. I ordered a raspberrypi pico to flash this firmware (<ins>https://github.com/xboxoneresearch/PicoD...</ins>) and get the whatever POST code it was throwing.

The result was SMC (1): E006 [SMC_FATAL_CPUGFX] Low priority: VREG_PWRGPAB_CPUGFX_PWRGD missing/timout: Check shorts on V_DRAM1P8, V_SOC1P8, V_SOCPHY. U681, U7, U129, U57 and U480 drive this signal low when a fault is detected.

I checked those test points and got no shorts. I did get shorts on the V_GFXCORE, V_CPUCORE, V_MEMPHY, V_SOC test points though.

I am at a loss as to what could be the issue here. Can anyone guide me in the right direction?

So the problem is that I was given a PS5 controller, but when I turned it on, the X button didn’t work, so I couldn’t log into any account. I opened the controller and did some cleaning I found online, but even after that it still didn’t work. I even removed the rubber piece from the PS button and tried to make contact with the X button membrane, but it still didn’t work.

I know it’s not a problem with the rubber because I used the same PS button rubber and touched the circle button membrane, and on the PS5 the controller registered a back action. That’s why I’m asking, because I don’t know if it’s a circuit issue or something with the pins, and I also don’t know how to fix it. I imagine it would require soldering, and I’m not very good at that and don’t have the right tools.

Whoever can help me, I would really appreciate it.

Nintendo 3DS XL 2015: Fails to boot, blue light flickers with no pop

Title. Managed to pull off the USB-C mod and as far as I'm concerned the board is in good condition, it charges and still gets power.

I'm aware that if the blue light flashes on then back off again, it has something to do with ribbon cable issues, which I'm more than aware of. But I have a few concerns: namely, which cable?

The most pressing issue is that the cable connecting the joystick to the main board isn't seated properly. I ordered a few replacements so hopefully the little plastic latch letting the joystick cable seat into the mobo will fix my problems, but I've also tried the bathtub moonshine solution of electrical tape over said cable and it still wouldn't boot: not surprising, it seemed to be misaligned each time I tried it.

One thing worries me though: this little black cable at the top. All the other ribbon cables and connectors appear to be intact, but because this was the first time fully breaking down a N3DSXL, I fear I may have roughed this (particularly delicate) cable up too much and will need to replace it. Can anyone confirm or deny my concerns so I know what to replace if the plastic latch doesn't fix the issue? Every other ribbon cable seems to be in good condition and seated properly.

PlayStation 4: Why does my PS4 overheat & turn off after opening any game?

My PS4 is turning off immediately after I open up any game, disc-based or not. The PS4 first gives an on-screen warning that the PS4 is overheating, shortly followed by the light bar on the PS4 flashing a red color, 3 beeps, then a black screen. It does not, however, immediately turn off when I am on the main screen, only when I open up a game. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? (Additional information: it's the optical drive/HDD area which is overheating, and every time I turn the PS4 back on, it searches the HDD in the same fashion as though I installed a new one, and comes up with the error message that the PS4 what not shut down properly.)

Thanks in advance!

EDIT (2020.04.22): First off, wow I did not realize people even looked at this thread. Second, I want everyone to know I ended up sending my console to Sony, who kindly repaired it even after the warranty had expired (IIRC I only paid for shipping, it’s been so long IDEK). Thank you to Tronics as well as the many people who I have neglected these past (wow) 4 years for your wonderful tips, and best of luck to those who may have this problem in future. Stay savvy.

PS Vita Slim: Battery charges, but green light only blinks once when turning on

I have a Vita PCH-2001 that I bought off eBay for parts and repair and I’m trying to figure out what the issue might be. The orange light turns on when charging and turns off when the battery is fully charged, however when attempting to turn on the system I am greeted by the brief flash of a green light and nothing else.

I am unable to get into safe mode, or make anything display on screen. I verified that the battery is alright by checking its voltage manually, and it sits at 4.18-4.2 volts.

Thus far, my only troubleshooting has been checking for water damage (none that I could find), and re-seating all the ribbon cables inside, which resulted in no change to the symptoms. It should be noted that this obviously included disconnecting the battery, which was what I originally tried thinking the issue may have been related to the previous firmware issue with Vitas.

Visually, I am unable to find anything wrong aside from some cosmetic scratches. Does anyone have any idea what the issue might be?

Nintendo DSi: How do I fix unresponsive shoulder buttons?

Very simply, the L and R buttons on my DSi don't work anymore. I tried going to Nintendo about the problem, but they said it'd cost at least $50 to repair...and my system is long past its warranty. Will I have to take apart my DS to fix it?

The xbox logo turns white, the turn on sound is here, then 1-2 seconds later a click sound from inside is heard and the console shuts down. My guess was faulty PSU so i changed it but no difference from before.

What else could it be?
