Kobo Clara Colour N367B: Kobo Clara N367 screen replacement on N367B?

My Kobo Clara Color N367B's screen broke. It is completely black except for the 'Power Off' writing surrounded by horizontal lines. When I turn it on, the small liht on the top of the screen flickers, the backlight turns on on the screen, but nothing happens. I bought the only replacement screen I saw on this website, but turns out there are two different models, but only one screen available. Is it possible to use the Kobo Clara N367 screen replacement kit for the Kobo Clara N367B? Since there is no replacement for the N367B screen, it seems useless to return, and I would prefer to not have to need to purchase a new Kobo. Thank you.

Kobo Clara BW: Screen frozen after fall

I dropped my 4-year old Kobo Clara BW HD on to a hard floor. Case came slightly loose but clipped back easily. Unfortunately now when it powers up, you can see there is light behind the screen, but the cover of the book i was reading is frozen in place and unresponsive. Any idea if it can be repaired? Thanks

Kobo Libra 2: Kobo Libra 2 dead after 1 month of no use - no charge LED, no response

Looking for advice before I commit to a battery replacement.

My Kobo Libra 2 was working perfectly with no signs of battery degradation whatsoever. Normal charge times, normal runtime, no swelling, no issues. It then sat unused for about a month. Now it's completely unresponsive:

- No charging LED when plugged in (from any source)

- No response to short or long power button presses

- Screen stays blank, no "Powered off" message, no boot logo, nothing

What I've already tried:

- Multiple USB-C cables (data-capable, known good)

- Multiple power sources, including a 2A wall adapter (not just computer USB)

- Power button hold for ~30 seconds, then attempted reboot

- Left it plugged into the wall adapter overnight, no change in the morning

- Inspected the USB-C port, it's clean with no lint or debris, and the connector seats fully

Kobo support told me it's out of warranty and pointed me to iFixit as their repair partner. I understand iFixit doesn't currently stock a genuine Kobo battery for the Libra 2 specifically (only for the newer Colour models), so I'd be sourcing an aftermarket 305080 cell.

My questions:

1. Given that the device was fully healthy a month ago and just sat unused, does this sound like a deep-discharged battery latched off by the protection circuit, or could it be something on the motherboard?

2. Anything else worth trying before I open it up?

3. For the Libra 2 specifically, any tips on the battery swap? Recommended sources for a pre-wired 305080 to avoid soldering directly to the board? Anything to watch out for on disassembly?

Thanks in advance.

Good morning.

My Kobo s/n 514A451005832 does not switch on or off because the Red switch on the upper left corner Is Stick, without a sprint return It always head.

Furthermore, when the Kobo is in standby, without this switch, you can activate the Reader only with a pin inserted in the hole near the supply Door, or connecting the Reader to a charger.

I didn't perform or tried any repair, for I have no tools and spare parts.

I ask again: do you have any After Sales service rather than a repairing hub in Europe or in Italy.

Kobo Clara Colour N367: Is it possible to replace broken colour screen with BW version (N365)

I have a Kobo Clara Colour, which I purchased October 2024. As such, it is the N367 (not the N367B). Unfortunately, I managed to crack the screen while on a flight (too much pressure on device). There are currently no replacement colour screens in stock, and based on the content I've been reading, a BW screen would be more appropriate. Is it possible to replace the colour screen with the BW version (screen sold for the N365)?

Onyx Boox E-reader: Boox Max2 requires heating

This is not a question -- this is a quick note on my attempt to replace the battery in Boox Max 2 (a 1000 Euro device), Maybe it will help someone out there. My device had a thick layer of hot-melt glue below the rim, gluing the unit shut and hiding screws behind that need to be removed to access the battery. The glue had no function in water-proofing the device, it only appeared to be there to prevent self-repair. If you can't lift the rim with a blade, do not attempt further and use a hair dryer/heat gun to soften the glue or send the unit to Onyx. The battery inside is soldered to the motherboard. One can cut the cables and solder to the cables. The white cable did not need to be connected to a battery protection board to power up the unit. I was able to power my up with a lab power supply set to 3.8V (a this setting, the battery shows at 50% full). The unit draws as much as 1.2A during power up.

I will never buy an e-reader again w/o checking its repairability score. At least not for this amount of money,

P.S. If anyone wants parts from the damaged unit, let me know. The motherboard seems OK. I am in Europe.
