Nikon DX3: Clock battery on D3x

I recently bought a second hand D3x, Im very happy with it. I read somewhere (?) that I may need to replace my clock battery. This makes sense to me as every time I take the battery out to recharge, it resets to 2007 and resets the counter. Where is the clock battery on this camera and is it something I can replace myself?

If I recall correctly they gave a battery type in the article, which I sensibly didn't write down.

I trust you can assist me with my current quest. Thank you in advance for being here in the first place.

Kodak Camera: Sparking light and sound of my Kodak pixpro fz55 camera

Hello,

I would like to ask for assistance regarding an issue with my Kodak Pixpro FZ55 camera.

Last night, while I was using it, I heard a sparking sound and saw a small flash of light coming from the top of the camera near the power button. The camera suddenly shut down, but the lens remained extended. After a few moments, I tried turning it on again, and it powered on normally. However, since I was concerned about what had happened, I decided not to use it any further.

Today, I tried turning it on again, but it no longer takes photos. I also noticed that the top part of the camera becomes extremely hot when it is turned on. In addition, the indicator lamp flashes orange.

Could you please help me understand what might have caused this issue and advise me on what I should do next? I am very concerned because the camera was quite expensive.

Thank you for your assistance.

Sony Alpha ILCE-6000: Dead camera, DC-DC converter issue?

Hey folks, I've found a number of references to the DC-DC converter failing on these cameras, and a thriving market in replacement modules on the usual websites for around $20 each.

Replacing the single module on the motherboard is not a Sony supported repair (they want the entire motherboard to be replaced, which costs the same as a second hand functioning camera) and there doesn't seem to be any good references to the diagnostics or the success of repairing cameras by switching out the single module.

Does anyone have any experience with this, or the knowledge of any places where this sort of thing is referenced? There doesn't seem to be any good english language references on the web, but there may be in other languages that I can't see.

Specific symptoms of the DC-DC converter failing can include the camera not powering up at all with no lights showing with a battery installed or with USB plugged in. In other cases, the camera may power up but no screen activity, or crash/power off when certain functions are triggered (taking picture, writing to the SD card, etc)

Diagnostic steps include testing the battery, and verifying that the right power is showing up at the right points upstream of the DC-DC converter, then no correct power showing downstream of the converter per the <!--!
Kodak EasyShare CD82: Kodak EasyShare CD82 - Seized screw on LCD screen holder won't budge

I am currently following the iFixit guide for the Kodak EasyShare CD82 LCD Display Screen Replacement. I am stuck on Step 4: removing the three screws from the LCD screen holder.

One of the screws is completely seized and will not budge in either direction.

- The screw head is NOT stripped (yet).

- I have tried the rubber band method for extra grip.

- I have tried tapping the screwdriver to break the tension.

- I do not have a soldering iron to apply heat.

- My needle-nose pliers are too large to grip the small screw head in this tight space.

Are there any specific tricks for this camera model or other DIY ways to loosen a tiny, non-stripped but seized screw without specialized tools like a soldering iron? Is it possible there is adhesive or a specific orientation causing it to bind?
