iPhone 4 Rear Glass Panel (GSM/AT&T)

$79.95

Product code: IF182-002

Product Overview

Glass is a symbol for love—its fragility, its way of revealing the beauty of life around you, and the way it will flatten your nose if you disregard it. Risk a squashed schnoz for a lovely metaphor today with our iPhone 4 rear glass panel (GSM/AT&T).

Includes the camera lens and the light diffuser for the LED flash. You do NOT need to remove any components from another panel to complete this panel. This has all the necessary parts to replace the rear panel entirely.

Do not be fooled by other sellers that try to sell you an OEM panel without all the parts.

This rear panel will only work on AT&T or GSM iPhone 4's.

If you want an alternative to the glass panel, check out the iPhone 4 transparent rear panel.

You may also want to consider getting a nifty screen protector, so that your iPhone can play nice with your keys.

My Problem

Dropped and cracked

My Fix

went OK. Was tough to get the logic board completely reinstalled correct; sim card tray was too tight in the end, and ended up slightly bent. However, it worked.

My Advice

The instructions hint at only taking the large head philips screws out 1.5 turns and that will save some in the reinstall. That was not obvious and I missed that instruction while going through it. instead of windex'ing every metal to metal connection, i washed my hands every half hour and tried to minimize touching - I used tweezers a lot. ALSO: before screwing down the logic board, make sure the antenna connector near the speaker assembly is not under it. It would be great if you actually reversed the instructions vs just saying go backwards.

My Problem

My 4-year-old son throw my Iphone 4 on the floor the other day. Not that I hadn't done it accidentaly earlier myself, but in previous occations, the phone remained undamaged.

This time, the rear panel went broken. I still could use the phone, but it didn't look very fancy covered with some sticky tape.

My insurance wouldn't have covered a repair - only a new phone - and I would have had to pay 170 euros after the insurance compensation.

Ordering a new rear panel and installing it myself was a cheaper and smoother solution for me. I saved time since I skipped taking my phone into a maintenance store. Also, I didn't have to take a risk of losing all info I have in my phone by changing into a totally new one.

My Fix

I followed the video guide and repaired my phone in less than 5 minutes.

My Advice

Watch the video - that's all you need!

My Problem

my iPhone fell on the floor, weeks after that the battery went bigger and bigger and so the glass on the rear broke.

My Fix

The repair process took me 20 min. If you order at ifixit mind costs (20%) at the customs (="Zoll") at the border when importing to europe.

My Advice

Just follow the good documentation.

My Problem

So much easier and cheaper to fix it myself.

My Fix

Fast delivery and a fast easy fix. Done in minutes.

My Advice

Use ifixit when at all possible

My Problem

Sat on a rock....iphone softer than a rock

My Fix

OK, a snap actually, however not as quick to fix as to break

My Advice

Buy the 00 screwdrive. Thought I had one that would fit....didn't ....had to use a small single slot screwdriver. Should have ordered the kit with the two screwdrivers the Phillips and the Pentalobe Screwdriver and the replacement screws, it would have cost me less also in hindsight....what is the deal with that iFixit?

My Problem

My problem was getting blurry pictures when I use my iPhone's camera. The reason was that the camera's external cover was scratched a lot. So, I Had to replace the whole rear panel.

My Fix

The whole replacement process did not take more than 2 minutes. The new part matches the previous one. I had no trouble at all, and the new part looks exactly the same.

My Advice

Just get the right tools from iFix it, and then get the exact part you need. don't be afraid to fix your stuff by yourself..

My Problem

I have concrete floors in my loft, and while I was sick I sent it flying pulling it out of my pocket. The entire back glass panel shattered.

My Fix

This is quite simply the easiest repair of all time. I had the phillips screws in my phone, so the entire repair was to remove the screws, slide the old panel off, slide the new panel on, and put the screws back. My iPhone looks brand new!

My Advice

There is a plastic cover of the the camera filter and led hole on the new panel. This needs to be removed before you put it into place (and there is not anything that details the need to do this. If you don't though, you're going to have fuzzy photos.

My Problem

On a shyne bright day my daughter trow my wife's iPhone4 on the floor.

My Fix

Following iFixIt repair tutorial and the appropriate tools (Pentalobe screwdriver) it was easy and quick. It took less then 5 minutes.

My Advice

If you have a broken rear glass, go ahead and do it yourself !

My Problem

My phone did a tripple backflip with a half gainer onto the floor. Turns out that's not a good thing.

My Fix

Quick. Easy.

My Advice

Don't forget to remove the thin piece of protective clear plastic from the inside of the back cover before installing. Your photos will be foggy if you leave it on there.

My Problem

I used to be a Pats fan until this recent Super Bowl. When Brady threw a Hail Mary interception, I threw my phone in rage and shattered the back of my iPhone. Not just a little crack that could be repaired by a strip of packing tape... messed up like pieces of little glass kept finding their way into my flesh.

My Fix

Incredibly fast. Luckily, my iPhone is an earlier generation so I didn't need to get the 5-point screwdriver. If you have 4-point screws, any eyeglasses kit screwdriver will work. I read your awesome guide on installing the rear panel a few times so that popped off in a minute. In all, it took about 15 minutes to replace since getting on the rear panel was a little finicky. Oh, plus the delivery was quick. I got my replacement in the mail a few days after I ordered. Great service!

My Advice

I read in one review that the replacement panel didn't "click" into place and so they got another one. I had a similar issue but I couldn't wait for another replacement. (It popped into place but didn't want to slide down) Placing my thumbs along the side of the panel, I pressed down hard to slowly slide the panel on. Double-check with the front panel to see if the rear panel is all the way on, then put screws back in.
