RIDGID R84015 X2 Case Removal
Locate the 4 screws on the back of the drill holding the back plate on.

Remove these screws using a Torx T20 screwdriver

Locate 5 screws on the side of the drill. Remove screws using same Torx T20.

Now both side casings can be removed as well as speed switch and forward reverse switch.

Use a multimeter set above 18V DC to check electrical connections where wires meet drill, switch, or battery terminal.

Look for corrosion or burnt wires.

After soldering sand off jaged solder then wrap with electrical tape
