Question to everyone: If you had the "A" model originally and you switched it with another model, the touch didn't work what happened if you plugged in the original one back? Was the touch working back again? I recently had two iPods Touch 2g and both, after attempting to use the -04 the original one doesn't work anymore either... Do those -04 damage the logic board or something? This is scary because I had 2 ipod with cracked glass only and right now none of them have working touchscreen :/ Any ideas? (I tried the hp trick, didn't work :()

I'm having constant problems with those cables. It came to the point that I took that cable out of my personal iphone and put it back and after that the proximity and light sensors don't work. And I tested 10 cables on 3 different phones and I can't get it to work. Do you have any idea what I may be doing wrong? The power button work, so it's just the sensors...and I really can't believe all my cables are bad because I had a good one, took it out, installed back and it stopped working. What can I be doing wrong during the installation?

you can actually stop disassembling now and try to replace it now. after removing two t6 screws it came off pretty easily

20 minutes and I finally did it!!!! pffff...2 more ipods to go :/

just spent 10 minutes on trying to plug this one back....no luck so far....this design sucks big time. worst Touch ever...worse than iPhone 1st gen. Difficulty should be changed to Extremely Difficult IMHO
