  • Answer to: Do I need to glue the cables back down?

    Electrical tape is good for the cables. I'll try a dab of superglue to attach the hold button -- good idea. I have "revived" the thick stickum glue for the top and bottom plastic inserts with a few dabs of "vulcanizing fluid" from a bicycle inner tube patch kit. (If anyone knows a reason not to do this, let us know !) It's a $3 purchase from your local bike shop. Be patient; apply it in thin layers a few times; remove any big chunks that don't dissolve; and it should work. Someone who knows more should be able to name the *right* solvent to use, but this is what worked for me.
