    You could restore your ipod and it'll reset it but you'll be able to get access to that wifi network again. That's what I'd do. Hope that helps.

    Your battery cable might be snapped or your dock connector might be broken. I don't have much knowledge about this ipod do you might want to google it. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with one of those two problems that I mentioned. Hope this helps.

    Your internet service might not be the best. AT&T is pretty fast. Some modems are slower then others and you might want to make sure you have a strong signal. It makes all the difference. Try going to a public place with free wifi or a friends house and try using their wifi. If it loads up faster then its no doubt your network. Hope that helps.

    It won't work without a battery. The iPod classic 5th generation is the one ipod that I'm most familiar with using and repairing. I broke my ipod battery cable to and left it in a charger for one day and it wouldn't work. So you can buy a replacement battery for it on eBay for around $6. Hope this helps you.
