I have noticed that you can make it work if you bend the iPhone like if you hold it in landscape mode and push the upper right corner forward, and left upper corner backward (or opposite).

A piece of aluminum can do the trick too :) just fold aluminum so it is approx. 8mm x 4mm x 1-1.5mm and place it under the screw and the round gold/metal piece right next to the screw.

Hello all i know this is a little late, but i have noticed that the earspeaker flex (number 3) on the screen might cause the problem. If you experience problem with stuck apple logo + spinning wheel, put on the screen without the 3rd connector.

Is it an iphone 4 or 3g or 3gs? iPhone 4: replace the home button. Remember the round metal thing, that makes the "click" sound. And be sure that the screen doesn't affect the home-button flex's possition etc. iphone 3g: first replace home button. Notice the pin-connectors on the homebutton-flex, and the dock connector. Ensure that they connect. (you could use adhesive tape to place the connector on its right position - market on the frame). NOT WORKING?: Replace dock (the whole dock) iPhone 3gs: replace home button. No need to check the pins because iphone 3gs home button has longer pins. If it doesnt work, replace the dock. This should solve. :) EDIT: just noticed that it was a iPhone 4, sorry.

hello Jacob, maybe this can help: Remove the safety-metal from the motherboard like on the picture oldturkey03 posted. Get a toothbrush (soft/medium) and brush the dirty areas on the motherboard carefully. Now take a look at the LCD-flex cable and if you see any dirt, brush it until its gone. Put the phone back together and keep me updated.

I guess the quality of the new (fake) screen is not 100% the same as the original one. I also found out that the glass is not made of the same material, the original one is harder. But what i still dont get is, i can try the screen without attaching it into the phone, and it makes no swirl no matter how hard i press on the screen. I wonder if the bezel gets bended when the phone falls. I dont know, but i will post if i ever find out.
