Answer to: Is it possible to repair the flex print?
Most of that flew cleanly over my head. I think you're trying to deal with a line on your LCD. Have you made sure the LVDS cable is plugged in to the logic board securely? If it is, then most likely you need a new LCD panel. You can actually open the LCD panel by throughly heating small sections of the outer edge of the glass, and carefully yet firmly prying the glass up with suction cups. But the LVDS cable is easiest to check. -
Answer to: I have a water damaged Retina MacBook Pro, what are my options?
Pull the logic board out, and clean it well, especially the battery connector (the plug on the logic board itself). I would recommend using a tiny bit of DeOxit D5. It will clean and increase the conductivity of the metal. You can get it at Guitar Center or online. Let it dry for a couple hours before turning it back on. -
