  • Answer to: My Passport WD External HD fails to mount to desktop

    if i want to "repair" in disk utility do i run the risk of loosing my data? i am sort of freaking out now that it wont show up as an icon on my desktop. i don't think it was improperly unplugged... or dropped or anything. and its powers up, it just wont show on my computer (also tried my sisters and brothers, nothing). thank you! i want to try the repair but only if by repairing its not restoring it to factory or something and clearing the data on it.... :(
