Do they play correctly in iTunes on the computer? iTunes is more particular than some players about garbage in the metadata or at the end of a file. So even though my music was fine in all other players, it got skipped in iTunes. The program MP3val [sourceforge.net] scans files for errors and corrects them if possible. If the files are okay on the computer, this probably won't help.
