Answer to: does it turn off or not
Seems it only has a sleep - it never fully turns off http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4354 -
Answer to: hdd password error 13129
Seems it's no mean feat - contacting Acer and paying them to remove it being the common answer. One thing to try is removing the CMOS battery for 30 minutes but I doubt this would work as it will be stored on EEPROM. Also came accross a worthwhile read but not sure of how much use it may be as I can't test it :0 http://dogber1.blogspot.com/2009/05/tabl...-of-reverse-engineered-bios.html Good luck! -
Answer to: iPod no longer shows up in iTunes and can not sync.
Have you tried putting it into disc mode (center and play held after a reset, center and menu) - that way errors on the disc could be checked by way of Disc Manager in Windows. It would also allow the drive to be formatted if necessary. You could also goto My Computer and find the iPod_Control folder (may be hidden and read only if it is change it). Right click on the iPod drive and select Properties-->Tools-->Error checking-->Automatically fix file system errors-->Start. Once it's done, eject your iPod and reconnect it then try restoring from iTunes if needed. -
Answer to: Please Wait -Very Low Battery?
I've had that a few times - 99% it's the brown plug as stated above. When that ribbons in the 2 white lines on it are not visible when the connector is open and when it's closed the bottom one lines up with it. -
Answer to: Battery Replacement Alternate Method with No Soldering
I suggest you get a 'helping hand' if your going to do some soldering - one similar to this (http://www.mds975.co.uk/Images/amateur_r...) You can get them on eBay for a few pounds and will save you from heartache when you try and hold 3 things while soldering a minuscule solder point :) I would practice a few solders beforehand - get a decent iron, take your time! -
Answer to: Weak WiFi after repair
If it's like the Touch then the antenna will make contact with the metal case - if it doesn't (or has a poor connection) it will have a low range. -
Answer to: Can I use bb services by connecting to a wifi network?
Yes! It all works fine, I do it all the time :) -
Answer to: Is a used one a good idea
Do you mean take the songs from the iPod to your PC? 1. Put your iPod in disc mode, got the drive and look for a folder called 'iPod_Control' and then 'music' inside that (may need to set Explorer to view hidden files/folders) 2. Copy all the music from the folders to a new folder on your PC hard drive. After, you should have one folder on your hard drive with all the files from the iPod together. 3. Open iTunes and goto Edit-->Preferences-->Advanced tab-->under the General tab select the folder where you copied the music to. Select 'Keep iTunes Music folder organized' and click OK. 4. Click File-->add folder to library. Select the folder where all your copied music is. iTunes will now import all your music into the playlists and rename them back to their correct names. Hopefully that made sense :)

Installing iPod Touch 1st Generation Battery
I would remove all the solder and use a pin to clear the holes before inserting the cables and resoldering.
Also get a 'helping hand' - they are a few quid on eBay - similar to this: http://www.laventure.net/tourist/cables3...
No volume control- headphones or dock
