  • Answer to: should I change my 5400rpm hd to the new SSDs?

I'm in the process of doing that myself. I just bought a 240GB Mercury Extreme Pro SSD new, off of eBay, for $400. Same as the one here: http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/internal_... I'm going to try to do a complete backup of my current hard drive onto the new drive via SuperDuper, and then make the swap and hope it starts up with everything in place. We'll see.
  • Answer to: Good SSD with a good price?

I just bought a 240GB Mercury Extreme Pro SSD (the same as the one sold on OWC's website here: http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/internal_...) for $400 off of eBay, brand new, and it was shipped overnight for free, with no taxes. Can't wait to get it installed to see what difference it will make on my late 2009 17" MacBook Pro.
