    I used to get the accessory message.... turned out that my dock was fried.... the otterbox's are pretty dang sturdy, so you might have gotten lucky and Not killed the battery..... Whenever a Li-ion Battery gets water intrusion, the battery is a goner.... Lithium in its natural state is HIGHLY reactive to water, therefore, you loose ALL charge and ability to recharge.....     I agree with rab.... Whenever a Li-ion Battery gets water intrusion, the battery is a goner.... Lithium in its natural state is HIGHLY reactive to water, therefore, you loose ALL charge and ability to recharge..... Replace the battery....
