    Thankx for the explanation, yours was the most clear one, the Apple guys never told a clue just saying that i must replace the Display without any detail about why. So i can survive with the computer as it is, meanwhile i will plan what i will do in the future, buy a new LCD and replace myself, or buy a used MacBook Pro as mine and replace the complete display, or buy a new computer and sell mine for spare parts ... thankx once more for the help MacMiguel

    Lines can be a result of either a defective LCD panel, LVDS cable, or Logic board. What is the LVDS cable? i have some defect, apple says that need to replace display, i dont believe! I have some dark shadows coming from the bottom of the screen upper. Everything works well, except this inconvenience. I will test with an external display to rule out the logic board, but what is the LVDS cables? thankx MacMiguel
