you can use the glass digitizer but i'm not exactly sure about the mid frame i don't think you can if the thickness is different between the models ( be sure to check that

Try deleting the file _locked in iPod_control/devices. This has happened to me and the only possible way i found was to reset factory settings.

go to SETTINGS and then enter MUSIC and go to sound restrictions maybe your sound is restricted all the way down on mute. If you have a warranty send it to apple if it does not help.
