How are you charging it?? charge it from the mains instead of the comp it thats what you are doing and leave it for a good while...should be as simple as that if it wasnt damaged and you just let it go flat! -

dud if the glass lifts, let it, then use something metal (i use a small flathead screwdriver) to get the assembly out whilst holding the glass out of the way. -

take the screen off following ifixit's instructions, once the glass in free from the middle-board you can very clearly see the home button and how it works, it is not complicated once you can see it. -

Is your phone jailbroken?? i had this problem... it can simply be that too much stuff is being used, i dont know how it works but i just reset everything to look factory and my signal come back- for a temporary fix, switch 3g off and then turn aeroplane mode on then off, will force the phone to search for signal. -
Answer to: Only works with speaker activated.
i dont think it goes all the way to the line, well i couldnt get it that far and it wasworking fine.

i had exactly the same situation but a 1mm drill piece didn't seem small enough..
