My Problem

My MacBook Pro battery had a Service Battery error and I needed to replace the battery... or else I would have been stuck using my laptop with the MagSafe power cord while having the risk of everything shutting down if the cord were to be pulled.

My Fix

It took me about 15 minutes or so. The instructions were super easy to follow, both visually and textually. I couldn't complain.

My Advice

If you don't have the tools available, definitely purchase the appropriate tools as suggested with the battery.

My Problem

My MacBook Pro battery was down to 55% of it's original battery capacity. iFixIt had a great tutorial on replacing it which had links to all the correct tools I needed to do the job. Well done!

Was very easy once I had the three tools their tutorial called for.

The correct screwdrivers assures the screws turn out and back in correctly and that there's no stripped screws.

My Problem

I was having trouble syncing and charging my iPhone 4 because the cable would not click into place when I would attempt to attach it to the dock connector.

My Fix

For the most part the repair/replacement process went smoothly but I ended up having to disassemble and reassemble the phone 3 times because I forgot to reconnect or didn't properly reconnect the WiFi cable and the home button on the first or second attempt.

My Advice

Read the instructions carefully. There are adhesive strips on the replacement dock connector that need to be removed when installing it.

The tweezers were extremely helpful when it came time to reassemble my iPhone.

My Problem

I bought a new iPhone 5 because the battery of my old iPhone 3G was out of order. Later I found the iFix from the web wia Google and decided to fix the older iPhone by myself.

Now I have two iPhones, iPhone 5 as the work phone and iPhone 3G for my personal use. Now I need not to receive the work emails during my vacations. After two weeks I shall leave the iPhone 5 at my office and travel to London for vacation with the older iPhone.

My Fix

The repairing was rather straightforward because of the proper tools and very clear guide. Removing the connector 3 was the only difficult part. Perhaps a magnified picture would be needed. Luckily I did not break the connector. It was very near.

My Advice

Be careful with connector 3. The tab that must be lifted the opposite side as the ribbon cable.

My Problem

i had to replace the battery in my macbook and realized that the tools needed were different than your typical screwdriver. Someone at work referred me to your website to order the tools.

the repair went great. The order was placed and I received the tools within a few days. Went wonderfully!!!!

Repair was quick and easy. Took at most 15 minutes. The ifixit video was terrific. It walked me through all the steps, alerted me to any potential problems that might arise (e.g., the possibility that the battery might be tightly glued to the case -- it was), and effectively instructed on how to deal with those problems.

Follow the ifixit instructions! They make it easy!

After owning my Macbook Pro 15" Unibody (Early 2011) for 26 months the battery ultimately failed and would no longer hold a charge.

Without a hitch. It could not have gone smoother. Total replacement time - 20 minutes.

The instructions are so easy I don't think they can be made simpler.

But this is not exactly my first foray inside my Macbook Pro. I upgraded the memory twice. From 4GB to 8GB right after purchase, and to 16GB a year later as well replaced the original 500GB hard drive with a 512GB SSD.

pushing the power button did not put the iphon in stand by , nor long pressing the button trigger the power off .
