My Problem
Bought original Wii used, but didn't play Wii games, only GC
My Fix
Went well... Actually, I broke the wire connecting the power light and buttons, so I replaced it with the one from my new wii (which is a newer model and doesn't support GC hard/software) because I didn't have a solder gun on me at the time.
My Advice
No need to use the tweezers to disconnect the wire that I mentioned. Just pull it out.
