My Problem
After checking the power button and seeing it was ok, I tried replacing the power and sensor cable instead.
My Fix
I used iFixit's repair guide and the repair went smoothly, quickly and successfully!
My Advice
The comments warned about being too rough taking out the front facing camera. I found being firm and forceful was just fine.
