My Problem
My very old iPhone 4S struggled to make it halfway through the day - without even using it.
It became pointless with iOS 7 installed. Battery life was on the order of 6 hours with minimal usage.
And, yes, I configured my phone to be as low power consuming as I could tolerate.
My Fix
New battery is cherry. Fit like a charm. Better assembled than the original.
I was done in 4 minutes, not exaggerating.
Now it runs all day and I come home with spare power.
My Advice
When you unscrew the battery connection there is a small bit of metal held down by the top screw (the one towards the top of the phone).
It will fall out of place when you remove the battery connection.
If you pay attention to its orientation before it moves you can save yourself a few moments of deciding how it goes back.
