My Problem
It simply died. I wasn't certain the battery was the problem, but it seemed to be the logical place to start. But there's no reason to dispose of this fine, useful, expensive electronic device if it's still in good working condition.
My Fix
It's tricky but if you follow the instructions closely, it works. I found this video very helpful, since it was displayed close up.

My Advice
It helps to have deft, delicate fingers and good eyes or a stationery magnifying glass.
