New hardware for my 2009 unibody Macbook

My Problem

Since I made the OS X Mavericks upgrade, my macbook was really slow, and the hard disk was full of pictures and movies... I checked on the web and I realize that it was really easy to improve my hardware with Ifixit. I wanted to be sure the hardware fitted with my macbook, and I found easily (three ou four clicks) exactly what I needed for my device. I was also sure that I had no compatibility problem.

My Fix

The repair was really easy. I use "Superduper" to copy my previous HD on my new SSD with an USB connection. After 5 minutes, everything was done and my macbook is now starting in less than 40 seconds. And now, I have more than 300GB of available space. My old HD is now useful as a external disk with his USB connection.

My Advice

Now I realize that for few money we can upgrade a lot our macbook... New MacBooks are still very expensive but worse, with a very few upgrade possibilities in the future. A new macbook with 500GB with SSD ran out of my budget. A 5 years old macboook with a new SSHD and RAM memories finally works really fine, hope for few years again !
