My Problem
Had my phone for over a year and battery life started to degrade. I was quickly hitting 20% or less.
My Fix
Repair was great - just had to watch ifixits video on how to remove the screen and disconnect everything. Super easy to follow. I did some extra cleaning using rubbing alcohol to clean the inside edge where the screen and metal body meet. The alcohol caused a discoloration in the screen, but I allowed it to dry out and it went away after about an hour. I then reassembled and the screen is back to normal. During the cleaning process I seem to have blown dust into the rear camera. After disassembling again and trying to clean the rear camera, the spots didn't go away. I'm going to have to try cleaning the camera again, I guess.
My Advice
Follow the video steps and don't do anything else.
