My Problem

My phone would randomly shut off with 30% 50% and wouldn't turn back on unless I plugged it in. It would turn on with whatever percent it shut off at. Then the percentage would randomly drop very fast, like 20% during a half hour lunch.

My Fix

I was very nervous with all the comments I read. I asked my boss who has taken multiple iPhone 4's apart to help me with my iPhone 5. We didn't take the screen completely off, left it connected as I held it when he pried the battery out. The actual battery was the hardest part, there is no need for it to be glued in there that good. Other than that it was really a piece of cake.

My Advice

The screws are TINY, I bought the kit from ifixit but I used a magnetized screw driver to help get the screws out of the phone after I unscrewed them with the ifixit screw driver. And also to get the tiny screws back in the hole before screwing them in.
