My Problem
I was enjoying the second season of House Of Cards when Firefox crashed multiple times. So I decided to turn off my laptop for a few minutes. When I tried to turn it back on, nothing happened. I checked the power cord and it was fine. I took the battery out, connected the power cord and still nothing. I then used my kindle fire to figure out the problem on ifixit.com. I then figured out it was the power button and would need to replace the keyboard.
My Fix
The repair went flawlessly. I have repaired the fan on my laptop with the help of ifixit before, so I knew exactly what needed to be done. Even had the tools from the previous repair. The repair took no more than 10 minutes.
My Advice
Go to ifixit.com before you take your Apple product back to the Apple store. If you don't have the Apple care they may charge you an arm and a leg. Also make sure to label the screws you are taking out. Trust me, there are quite a few. Be patient and don't rush. You may do something you'll regret.
